The Kindle edition is heavily discounted; the hardback is simply discounted more.

Wait for the paperback release; the eBook will fall a lot then.

Sony is not the best place to shop for books even in the USA. Not always but often enough their books are more expensive. I find my books elsewhere & sideload if there is enough price difference.

That's normal Sony pricing, I thing sometimes they assume all customers are really just stupid. Kinda like the $2.50 items at Waltmart witht eh sale sign on them 2/$5
