Free NT w/NYT Subscription...Any takers?

Just wondering if there were any takers? The deal pretty much doubles the price of the Nook, but I guess it is a good deal if you were planning to subscribe to the NYT anyway. Just wondering if anyone else considered or tok the deal.

I considered it but in the end declined. I subscribe to the papaer edition of the NY Times and thought about converting to the electronic. I went to my local B&N and looked at the Touch. It is a nice device, but I like my Sony 950 better and I can subscribe to the Times on the 950 for the same price. So I decided to pass.

I'm curious. Did you compare the actual NYT content on the screen of both the Nook and the Sony via a free trial or were you simply concerned with the aesthetics of the actual units?

For my money the Sony is the more attractive physically but interacting with the Sony GUI and looking at the crummy fonts on the Sony make the Nook pages look far more professional by comparison.
