Battery charging/disconnect issues.

Has anyone else had problems fully charging sony from computers which tend to turn themselves off, or if it's a computer on which you'd prefer not to install the sony software? Suddenly discovered that charging it off the Wii seems to be the perfect solution, so far at any rate. My sony's been throwing little wobbles, not charging fully, or sticking on opening page, especially if it's not allowed to install itself. Yet it's all calm and happy after charging from the USB port on the Wii. Anyone else been experiencing anything similar?

My PCs stay on 24/7 so I don't have that issue. But charging from a USB port on a computer that goes to sleep or shuts down then begins to drain power from the ereader.

Most of us have found that we already have an AC charger that works fine with the Sony's, usually from cell phones (for myself, my LG Rumor Touch's charger works perfectly, there's a thread around here where people have posted what works, as well as purchasing other AC chargers).

But if charging off the Wii is working fine for you, that's the way to go rather than charging off a PC or laptop/netbook that might shut down while the reader is still connected.

Some newer computer motherboards (Gigabyte for one) have a BIOS setting to keep power on the USB ports even if the computer is in sleep mode (maybe even when off, but I don't remember specifically).
