Woot Sellout of Viewsonic g Tablet

I bought one of these about two weeks ago during an eBay deal of the day for $249.99 from TigerDirect and it is a decent tablet. Fast (dual core Tegra processor), light, and awesome battery life (8-10 hours easily). Flash ready out of the box. The Tap N' Tap interface from Viewsonic is not bad. Many people have reported this tablet is extremely easy to root and can run Honeycomb (currently has Froyo installed). Can usually be rooted and running Honeycomb in 15 minutes or less. I didn't root mine because I also bought a 3 year SquareTrade warranty for $50 and didn't want to void it. For those wondering about the reported screen viewing problem, I can tell you that the screen is similar to a laptop screen so if you were to lay it flat and try and view it yes it is an issue. However, if you are like most people who hold your tablet in your hands the viewing angle is pretty good. I don't have any complaints. I know this is tablet is not on the same level as the Edge but if anyone is looking for a good iPad alternative this is it. It is as fast as any Android tablet on the market. In fact, when it is rooted it actually outperformed the Motorola Xoom at half the price. Woot is having a one day sell-off of the Viewsonic g Tablet today:

A good friend has one. He has rooted it and is very happy with it.

Many people warned about the viewing angle. I think this is the major turnoff.

My wife would kill me if I bring home another toy. I am relatively happy with my PE now although some apps do not run like moviestream and tango.

Trust me, the complaints about the screen viewing angle are over exaggerated. This tablet is crisp, clear, fast, and cheap.
