Lightbulb Doesn't the eDGe remind you of Penny's computer book?

When I first saw the eDGe, it completely reminded my of Penny's computer book from Inspector Gadget. I just couldn't believe it took technology such a long time to actually manufacture it.

If you have never seen the Inspector gadget cartoons, I would recommend getting a Netflix account, or seeing if there is a Retro cartoon channel in your area and toon in for one episode. There are even apps for Android to control RC vehicles via WiFi or Bluetooth, much like Penny in the cartoons controlled computerized vehicles in those cartoons.

Now they can make a proper Inspector Gadget movie and have Penny use an eDGe in the movie as her computer book! It would work perfectly.

OMG! You are completely right! It never occurred to me. I always considered Penny's computer book to be a highly evolved version of the Junior Woodchucks Guidebook. So now I am living all sorts of childhood fantasies! Now, where's my Sword of Omens? Snarf!

My coworker brought this same thing up to me and to this day still calls my eDGe "computer book" when she sees it. I usually respond by playing this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC5kuNbcghM
