@ableeker: whatever you want EDIT: under [FeatureSettings], see davidfor's post. Be careful, the correct option is dhcpcd=true .
Furthermore, it must be exactly as written here without any additional space, and it must be only one. If you write it twice, it will not work. Last edited by Lucas Malor; 04-26-2014 at 12:57 PM. |

Lucas Malor, thanks! So, under any heading? Heh, I just assumed it would be the deamon for dhcp, hence my version dhcpd... I'll be sure to add it your way of course...
By the way, under 3.0+ the only way I can get our Kobo's to reconnect is to set up the router to assign fixed IP addresses. I've tried a number only password, but that didn't work. I'm going to manually install 3.3, maybe this bug heas been fixed. I've sent Kobo some WireShark formatted sniffs my router has produced (undocumented feature) of successful and unsuccessful attempts to reconnect (fixed and non-fixed IP addresses), it would be great if these were of help to Kobo if they've been trying to fix the bug. |

It goes in the "FeatureSettings" section.

DHCP is controlled also by nickel? The only place I found the option is in rcS, but I've only done a diff.

My first results with 3.3 seem to indicate that the WiFi bug has been fixed!
Full screen reading worked indeed, but when I switched to it, the last 2 or 3 characters didn't fit anymore on the line, and were cut off. Switching back, the lines were still too long. I increased the margins one tick, and the lines fit the screen again in header/footer mode. Switching once again to full screen mode however, the lines still didn't fit, even with the increased margins. I increased them again 1 tick, and they still didn't fit! Switched to header/footer mode yet again, and the lines fit (with increased margins). Looked a bit like the characters could not be made to fit in full screen mode, but I'll need to experiment some more. Luckily the lines could be made to fit in normal mode... |

I found it by running strings against libnickel. It is in a group of options that make up the "FeatureSettings". libnickel has a lot of function names that look liker the refer to it. It probably uses the daemon if the option is there and the daemon is started.

OK, something i noticed: there's no longer the option to search in Pocket articles. It never worked for me on previous firmwares, the screen would flip upside down for some seconds before rebooting, but this firmware fixed it by getting rid of it.

![]() EDIT Things have returned to normal after a device freeze. A restart was enough to fix things and the "hide header and footer" option has magically (re)appeared. The partially invisible letters don't seem to be font related. Last edited by yayo; 04-26-2014 at 12:16 PM. |

I've been experiencing the font cutoff issue as well. I sideloaded 3.3 onto my Aura HD that had multitouch320 installed. I then reinstalled multitouch320, sideloaded Charis SIL, added the full screen reading configs and tried a few sideloaded kepub books. With the FeatureSetting.FullScreenReading set to true, the document default font and Charis both result in cut off letters (didn't try any other fonts nor books other than sideloaded kepubs).
Removing the FeatureSetting.FullScreenReading flag completely from the config file fixed the issue. |

A quick dumb question...
I've been reading that full screen thingy here. And I've also seen that code you have to insert in the config thing. Is that only for the Aura HD? Like, I have a Glo, would I have to do it, too? I'm still waiting for the official update to roll out... |

Correct.. that option works fine on the Glo (and Touch); albeit there is an issue with the Reading Settings menu looking weird when the option is added to the Conf file.

About the font cut trouble:
I don't have 3.3 anymore so I cannot say it's different from previous releases. But I've always seen it if there was no margins (I mean no margins in the kepubized ePub and also no forced margins through the font tool bar), justified text, and specially in characters which are somehow "big to the right side". The clearest example for me has always been an italic f. |

Davidfor,
Near as I can tell, on my Glo the collections sort being missing is still an issue -despite my having added the relevant line to the config file for the previous firmware... Haven't upgraded the Touch N905B yet to see if it is still an issue there. I'm guessing they have left it out of config and are replacing the config file with each update? |
