Just got firmware 3.3.0
 

Surprise! When I synced this morning, I got 3.3.0. (I have a first-generation Glo bought in Montreal. I live in Seattle.)

What does it do? Good question. There was a button on the home screen that said to press it for information, but when I did, all it said was, more or less, "You now have 3.3.0. Further updates may be required."

Sounds a bit ominous... Anyone have any further info?

It's a bummer how they seem to roll the updates out by region... Still no update here... Can you take a picture of that button?

Sorry, the button went away when I pressed it. I really only paraphrased both messages slightly.

Can you check device info and see if it's really 3.3.0 and the date... I'm also curious as to what this update does...

"Further Updates may be required..." What the H E Double Hockey Sticks (Canadian Based Company Reference?) does that mean? Haven't further updates been "required" apparently since the original firmware? ;-) What's next? The Virtual Paperweight 1.0.0 firmware?

Well, at least they haven't implemented the Emergency Broadcast System Test... Beeep, Beeep, Beeep... Maybe having no sound is a virtue.

Perhaps Kobo will require an upgrade merely to eliminate the comical/scary/perplexing message "Further upgrades may be required."

The further upgrades may be required has been present for some time.

:) I guess I never noticed it before because the new feature list always had some, well, new features as well.

I'm trying to find out what affiliate(s) receive updates first. For definitely not programmatically nabbing updates early purposes ;)

OK. I'll do what I can, but you should know that I have never received an update "first" before, and I seldom even receive them very early.
