Where do you see this?

And to confirm, are we talking about the new Reader for PC or the older Reader Library software? The new one doesn't show a total number of books in your overall library. Not that I can see anyways.

An update of the software was just made available. I saw in the notes it might fix the problems with periodicals and annotations I have been complaining about. Will test it asap.

The problems with some periodicals not being recognized persists.

Sync has frozen again.

Annotations are still not displayed.

Purchased content cannot be removed, as before.

I see no improvement so far.

Here is the change log from the Mac version. Vxf, did you see the note regarding periodicals?

Quote:
This update to Reader™ for Mac (1.1.01.09240) addresses the following issues:
- Annotation for content for users of Reader Library were not migrated to Reader(tm) for PC/Mac
- Periodicals are not selected by default for automatic sync. Users who migrate existing periodicals from Reader Library are advised to delete or remove old periodicals which they do not want synchronized to their device.
- Some users with certain special characters in their password were unable to log in to their Reader Store account.

Thanks. Yes, I saw those - and I was hoping that they had fixed periodicals so that I could actually ADD them to the library (some issues of the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal, delivered through the SONY store, are not recognized at all by the new software - neither pre- nor post- patch). Instead, they suggest removing them...

I also think they are wrong in saying annotations were not migrated. I also thought so at first - then I found out that annotations were migrating, just not being displayed correctly. In that regards, I see no changes.

I can't tell any differences between old and new. I didn't migrate my old library initially. The only annotations I have were transferred by wirelessly syncing from my 950 to the Reader software (hope that makes sense). Now if only the T1 wireless syncing worked so I could get the annotations onto my T1!

Wouldn't it be nice if you could use a third party server (run by Calibre perhaps) to provide periodicals? It's just that this functionality is unusable in Australia at present.
