going to have to develop a system like some of the ones i've read in this thread. i've been lent a friend's reader and so the library is like an adventure to me. i feel such a rush and a pressure reading because i want to take advantage of the time i have.
grr.

Oh, wait, you want to stop having 'too many books'?

There's no such thing as too many books.

No, I do *not* have a problem.
Should you not have a <return> loop somewhere in that listing

I'm stuck between steps 2 & 3 myself. I have some of LMB's books (through baen) and have them loaded on my K3 but haven't gotten round to reading them the 1st time as yet. Though I do follow steps 6,11 & 12. lol.

hummmm,

Well my 12 step program would be

1) buy ereader -- Done
2) download Calibre -- Done
3) find free all the classics that I have wanted to read and download -- almost finished (reseving right to add more at later date)
4) find free murder/mystery books that look interesting and download -- in process
5) find free science fiction books I want and download-- in process
6) find freebies of other genre's I like and download -- in process
7) begin purchasing ebooks in new series in pn/mystery/other genres that I want -- in process
8) learn how to correct mistakes in sending books to ereader -- in process
9) work on corrections of ebooks -- in process
10) read at last one book a week from ereader
11) pick out old series in pb to purchase in ebooks -- still considering
12) continue looking for more books to add to reader

Accept that I will fail the 12 step program and enjoy the addiction to books and don't worry about number of books in reader.

I can't help with the acquisition problem, but here is an idea on the consumption side.

At Radio Shack they sell these pillow speakers. They are flat disk-spaced speakers that fit under your pillow, but are still loud enough to hear through the pillow.

Get a Kindle, use text-to-speech and a pillow speaker. Now you can read all night long. It gives you back 8 hours of uninterrupted reading time when all you are doing anyway is sleeping.

... of course, I do have a small problem picking up the plot when I start re-reading in the morning. Maybe if I hypnotize myself when I wake up, I could 'surface' the plot details?

I have a sickness.

We need to start a 12-step group.

Those pillow speakers can be found on eBay for a buck or two, delivered. I use it with a sleep timer for audio books. WONDERFUL for falling asleep to.
