Cutthroat Dogs is the 29th in Loren D Estleman's Amos Walker series. At least per the blurb - I didn't count myself on SYKM . It's $2.99 right now in the US. I read a bunch of the early titles in this series years ago, and enjoyed them, but haven't read any of the recent ones, so maybe I'll give this one a try.

Murder on Bedford Street is the twenty-sixth and most recent (2023) in Victoria Thompson's Gaslight series, at least until a new one comes out in April. I read and liked a lot of the early books in this series, but mostly lost track of it in my transition to e-books, since the e-books in this series only rarely go on sale. But right now, Bedford Street is on sale in the US and UK...

This often happens in the UK - that a fairly new book will drop to £0.99 for just one day, not too long after it comes out. And then go back up, and stay up for quite a long time. This, more than anything else, is what incentivizes me to keep an eye on Kindle UK .
