Can't see that there would be since there is no one for there to be a legal problem with - as IRX point point out when it comes to warranties, they have nothing to do with IREX.

I'd just like a way to remove the eBookMall icon from the Home screen and the Download, 3G indicators from the statusbar. I think the DR800 is a great reader. I love the flipbar and the size is perfect. Why doesn't anyone else make an 8" screen?

It wouldn't be a legal problem with iRex, but with the wireless carrier. Some of them get picky (so I understand) with whether or not the type of device is authorized, beyond just whether or not the SIM is authorized.
