Libra - 1.5mm

And don't use Aura H2O as an example. This is a very old model, and a battery of this size and thickness should by definition have a higher capacity, 2000-2500mAh.

And you have ONLY 1500mAh and it is enough for you, right?

That would be great to have a fresh 2000mAh battery. But for now as long as it works well enough, I'm not going to open it. I'm not ready to risk it.

I buy a new reader anyway long before the battery dies. That said, excessive thinness is not important to me, but lightness is. Over 250g and my hand starts to tire holding it.

Your battery is 6 years old, and it hasn't been holding 1500mAh for a long time. I think there is 1200mAh, measure.

Why can't we cite your model as an example - the fact is that the new models use the Comfortlight PRO backlight, and because of this, the battery is discharged there faster ...

If you start to find fault with the Comfortlight PRO backlight now then I don't even know what else to answer ...

When did the light come into this? Also, why woul the color LED draw more power? And the new models do not have a backlight so they won't be drawing power like you get with an LCD screen. The screen is front lit and is only lit when the light is on.

You ask questions, the answers to which are obvious.

Because there are 2 times more LEDs.

One thing I do when I read with the front light on is I have it usually set to 4. I sometimes up it to 5 or 6. But not usually. I don't need the light to be all that bright.

I'll have to disagree. Yes, firmware changes have helped. But I have been using both a Forma and an Aura ONE for a long time and while I like almost everything about my Kobos, the Oasis 3 still has far more responsive annotation capability, which I notice every time I go back to read something on it.

Again, it is not clear, where does your Aura H2O, which you have in absolutely any topic and any discussion Aura H2O does not have Comfortlight PRO backlighting and you simply cannot compare and evaluate.

I compared - the Clara HD battery drains much faster than the Glo HD battery. The characteristics of these devices are similar, with the exception of the Comfortlight PRO.

But, you also can't really compare the Comfortlight PRO between the devices. The way it is done in the Aura ONE is completely different to the other devices. And the exact number LEDs is different between each device.

I'm not sure if I agree with you on this. I don't remember noticing any real difference when I changed from the Glo HD to the Clara HD. I didn't explicitly test, but, that was my impression at the time. I can't compare now as the battery in the Glo HD is showing noticeable wear.

Perhaps that is why it has less autonomy than the Forma, judging by the reviews above. And you have to, yes, take into account the wear of the Aura One battery. The test will not turn out "clean" anyway.

I'm surprised how much this thread seems to favor the Forma over the KA1. I thought I had recalled a sizable contingent here that favored the KA1 (as I do).

But the Forma has a lot going for it over the KA1. The plastic backed screen, lighter, larger screen, better batter usage, better touch accuracy, and newer hardware.

I don't think the buttons are anything special.

I've never seen the KA1 before physically but the Forma seems much better.
