17 is the thickness, 1.7mm Libra - 1.5mm And don't use Aura H2O as an example. This is a very old model, and a battery of this size and thickness should by definition have a higher capacity, 2000-2500mAh. https://aliexpress.com/item/4000607483159.html And you have ONLY 1500mAh and it is enough for you, right? I buy a new reader anyway long before the battery dies. That said, excessive thinness is not important to me, but lightness is. Over 250g and my hand starts to tire holding it.

Why can't we cite your model as an example - the fact is that the new models use the Comfortlight PRO backlight, and because of this, the battery is discharged there faster ... If you start to find fault with the Comfortlight PRO backlight now then I don't even know what else to answer ...

I'll have to disagree. Yes, firmware changes have helped. But I have been using both a Forma and an Aura ONE for a long time and while I like almost everything about my Kobos, the Oasis 3 still has far more responsive annotation capability, which I notice every time I go back to read something on it.

Aura H2O does not have Comfortlight PRO backlighting and you simply cannot compare and evaluate. I compared - the Clara HD battery drains much faster than the Glo HD battery. The characteristics of these devices are similar, with the exception of the Comfortlight PRO.

Perhaps that is why it has less autonomy than the Forma, judging by the reviews above. And you have to, yes, take into account the wear of the Aura One battery. The test will not turn out "clean" anyway.

I'm surprised how much this thread seems to favor the Forma over the KA1. I thought I had recalled a sizable contingent here that favored the KA1 (as I do).

I've never seen the KA1 before physically but the Forma seems much better.
