@kayLee: I think you want to remove those extra "chapters" at the end that are actually the first chapters of the next book in the series or other books in the series. If so, probably not with out actually opening it in the editor. The problem is that what you want to remove won't be the same all the time. Mostly, you probably want the last two or three "chapters" removed. But sometimes it is the last four, and other times it is the fifth last to the second last (keep the last). It would not be hard to write a plugin to do that (prompt for how many chapters to removed from the end of the book, or the range of chapter, or display the ToC/file list to select the ones to remove and then remove them and fix the ToC and OPF), but, you would still need to look at each book and decide which chapters to remove. It's probably just as easy to delete them in the editor as do it this way.

If they are really simple books (like a lot of fanfiction seems to be) then maybe you could convert to markdown text, export them and deal with them in a decent Text editor and then convert 'em back again.

But that exhausts my knowledge of it - i.e. the fact that it exists.

If its very regular - ie always the last 37 lines then you could use a command file to a) unpack the file, b) run a line editor like TECO or ed to remove the lines c) repack the epub.

BR
Thanks for the info!

I figured that would be the case (T-T) Don't know why so many e-book publisher feel the need to pad page count like that. I got a book I though was 200 pages turns out the story was only 60 pages the rest was excerpts and cover images for EIGHT other books WTF???

This would likely be more work than it is using edit book. All I do now is open the book in edit book find the extra sections under file browser right click and delete section file, fast to do it's just annoying!
