No. I have several copies from the file and the message appears with all of them. I had the same error yesterday, but I prefered to wait. Today, with the new actualization, I tried again, but the error remains.

I use unlocker application and it says: "No Locking handle found" with this file.
By the way.... the plugin is supposed to open the file only for reading, isn.t it? |

Windows... I guess maybe some antivirus software is scanning that file right after it's unzipped from the .apkg file.
.apkg is a zip file actually. Could you post the full error message so I can see which line of code throw the error? Last edited by xxyzz; 07-26-2022 at 05:02 AM. |

You're right. Antivirus software is scanning collection.anki2 file.
But, I deactivate antivirus and the problem remais. Procmon says: 26/07/2022 11:14:40 File System QueryAllInformationFile BUFFER OVERFLOW C:\Users\xxxxx\Downloads\collection.anki2 After, calibre tries to write the file and it is successful. but the problem remains. Downloaded *.apkg files don't have scheduling information so difficulty is set to 1. Only "learned" cards exported from Anki app has that data.
That's a pretty aggressive antivirus software BTW. |

Oh... I didn't close that file before deleting it. Fixed by https://github.com/xxyzz/WordDumb/co...680897a5a2b11c. Thanks for the report!
Sorry for blaming the antivirus software, I didn't realized the mistake until I saw the traceback log. Last edited by xxyzz; 07-26-2022 at 05:50 AM. |

LOL. Yes, I thought that the problem was not really the antivirus because the problem continued after disabling it. If I tried to rename it, it wouldn't let me because it told me which Calibre had it locked. After your correction, it works now. Thanks.

After importing the file, lemmas dump file size has decreased from 1.366.758 to 114.182 bytes. What sense has it? Is there any way to activate/deactivate lemmas in a bulk basis?

Only words inside the imported file are enabled. You want to add words but also retain the previously enabled words? Or you want to enable or disable all words at once?

English is my second language. Because of this, I'd like to activate lemmas in a bulk way to test in several books. There are books with different level of difficulty. To do it word by word is a hard challenge. I would give you some examples. After loading this 4000 words, perhaps is not enough. How can I increase the number of words if the previous words have been not retained? Another example. If your process retains the previous words, but I want to increase or decrease the number of words.... How can I do it? Word by word? To increment or decrement, , a way would be based in occurrences of the word in a specific book or in the complete language (I do not where we can get this info). The more frequent, the level should be lower... perhaps.

But how can you determine which word to enabled or disable and the difficulty level without checking each word individually?
I think there are two ways to adjust the lemmas table gradually: - Add all lemmas in the *klld file to Anki and learn some of these words then export and import the deck package - Read some books and enable Kindle Vocabulary Builder then import the vocab.db file, but it has a 2000 words limit. Maybe repeat the read/learn then import process a few times the lemmas table will fit your needs almost perfectly. You can find the convert difficulty code at here: https://github.com/xxyzz/WordDumb/bl...mas.py#L28-L40, https://github.com/xxyzz/WordDumb/bl...mas.py#L73-L86 Last edited by xxyzz; 07-26-2022 at 07:00 AM. |

Yes. Your approach may be correct from a programmer point of view, but it's a bit tricky from a user point of view. Keep in mind that I usually I'm a programmer in my work and therefore I value your work very much and understand the complexity of what I am asking for. But I was thinking in including all words and trying to assign level of complexity as it is said here: https://link.springer.com/article/10...428-018-1077-9 I don't what do you think. Sorry if the request is excessive. |

Interesting paper, I haven't fully read through it but their data(that 8M Excel file) can be used to assign the difficulty value and determine which word to enable. I was looking for similar data before, this looks promising.
Kindle *.klld and English Wiktionary has 79134 and 817135 words/phrases respectively. That Excel file has 61858 lemmas. Last edited by xxyzz; 07-26-2022 at 09:06 AM. |
