[GUI Plugin] Manga plugin
This plugin allows you to search and download manga straight to calibre.

Main Features:
  • Supports multiple websites
  • Download and decrypts images into jpg
  • Automatically makes a cbz file after download is completed
  • Automatically adds cbz file to calibre

Searchable website include:
  • mangarock.com
  • mangafox.me/fanfox.net
  • mangahere.cc

Special Notes:
  • Require calibre 4.0 or later (may work with a lower version of calibre however I haven't tested it)
  • The plugin currently doesn't automatically remove download or build files after adding it to calibre (you have to manually delete it)

Hello,
This plugin comes the closest to what I need for downloading manga to calibre. However, I can't seem to get it to work. Could you maybe post a tutorial?

Does this still work? Tried but it failed or couldn't get it working and it then froze calibre and had to Force Quit.

I have sent private message to @mastertea so hopefully it will be answered but if not and not working, then it should be noted on this thread and the plugin removed to stop people from using it.

I had a very quick look at this. The URLs used are on domain fanfox.net. From what I can see, this is now behind Cloudflare. And that is blocking the requests. Based on the issues seen with FanFicFare and sites hosted behind Cloudflare, it will be a pain to solve. It might work with FlareSolverr which FFF uses it. But, it probably needs changes to the plugin to use it.

How I deal with manga
[CENTER]Currently I have not found a better way to deal with manga and comic books.
I first download the manga/comic book (will refer to book from this point on) using Hakuneko https://hakuneko.download now when I download the ebooks I go into the settings and change the download method from cbs to folder with images as HakuNeko downloads manga in chapters and not volumes after I download in folders I then go and sort them by volumes for manga and I just zip the comics up, once the books are sorted to the proper method and named properly I zip up the manga after the books are zipped up I change the .zip to .cbz (cbz is for zip and car is for rar) now I import to calibre and use the comic vine plugin to find the meta data now on my iPad I have a separate app for manga and comics so I don't convert them I just get the covers and metadata. for the ones using kindle convert them to azw3 and boom they work perfect you can also find very good manga using nyaa.si /CENTER]
