Great to hear. Though if you can spare $ for Fire HD8 next time they put it on sale, it is a much better device than HD7: more RAM, much faster, SD storage, auto brightness, latest FireOS, 12 hour battery, I think a little lighter than HD7. I got mine for $30 off on Prime Day, probably something similar for Black Friday etc.. GP is easy to put on (I gather).

I've got my KF6 so I'm okay. I am curious about text rendering between the two. The HD has higher PPI than the newer Fire.

Same and worse. I reset it so it's working again but no way to update all the components manually. I'm not sure it's fixable this time. I'll have to wait and see.
