For his fellow Australians who are affected by the Humble Bundle geo-restrictions, participating author Sean Williams is offering a compensatory free copy of his Aurealis Award-winning 1st novel, Metal Fatigue, a dystopic political future mystery/thriller, if you contact him via the instructions in his blog.

He openly admits it doesn't quite make up for not getting a Gaiman, but it's really nice of him to do so and at least it's something?

For anyone who didn't already get this free a few years back when it was an official publisher promo and is deciding whether or not they want to spend for the average+ tier, there's a freebie novella set in this universe that's still available in a number of stores: Devil in the Dollhouse @ B&N UK, Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians).

I've no idea whether it spoilers anything in the 1st novel, though, but if it turns out you really like the writing, it may help you decide.
