That is great! My impression of the company thus far is that they are incredibly responsive and care very much about their customers and their reputation, so I would expect them to continue working on both.... just got nervous, I guess.

While serving the customer is always a "goal", enTourage is probably also looking a simple economics, too (i.e., multiple devices, one set of dev/qa teams)

When I clicked on the link above, I couldn't see the pictures either. If you go to the device resellers and choose one of the non-German ereader sites, you should see them. That's how I did it. If that makes any sense.

Maybe they removed the images because (hopefully) they were told to by enTourage, as they may have been old product images. Those ones were running Android 1.6. They may have edited their listing because of enTourage, but they seem to have kept the "Android 2.2" mention in the description. This could mean that we could still be getting the 2.2 update by the rumored launch date of November 15th.
Come on enTourage. Don't let me down. |

Susan also just Twittered the following URL: http://www.hsn.com/black-entourage-t...910*background. The site only allows orders from the US, unfortunately

I can clarify some things about the Pocket eDGe now. It will be running Android 1.6 still for a few months. The reader screen will not support landscape mode for a a while. The Dutch site jumped the gun a bit and also had their facts wrong. As for Flash, Android 2.2 is capable of supporting Flash 10.1, but the certification from Adobe is between them and the processor vendor. It is not automatic with Android 2.2. Not many of the current 2.2 based devices on the market actually support 10.1. We will still be on Flash Lite 3.14 for a while and will be moving to Flash Lite 4.0 fairly soon, which will satisfy the majority of issues currently experienced with Flash content.
That being said, the Pocket eDGe is incredibly convenient for a broader set of purposes and we think it will be very popular. HSN has it exclusively for a short period and is actually a really good vehicle for a product pre-launch. DP |
