Be sure to put a washcloth into the bottom of the sink, in case you pry out a rock. Diamonds are tough, but they break and burn. It's well worth the trip to a jeweler, imo.

It reminds me of the underground prairie houses - when the settlers moved west of the Mississippi River, they didn't find many trees to use for building houses. Some built above ground sod brick houses and some dug underground houses - easier to heat & cool, and safe from twisters.
