The eastern world it is explodin',
Violence flarin', bullets loadin',
You're old enough to kill but not for votin',
You don't believe in war, but what's that gun you're totin',
And even the Jordan river has bodies floatin',
But you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
Ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
----------
Think of all the hate there is in Red China!
Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama!
Ah, you may leave here, for four days in space,
But when your return, it's the same old place,
The poundin' of the drums, the pride and disgrace,
You can bury your dead, but don't leave a trace,
Hate your next-door-neighbour, but don't forget to say grace,
And you tell me over and over and over and over again my friend,
you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction. mmm, no, no.
you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

'morning, all. Tuesday is here again. Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea in my cup, and a bowl of miso soup, rice, and tsukemono for breakfast. Busy day to today. Have to get some new shoes for my bike.. Almost $500 USD that I'd rather spend on ice cream or street food, but soon the winter rains will be falling and I hate the idea of slipping all over the road every time I try to stop!

With that thought in mind, and another mug of Yorkshire tea in my belly, I'm off to get my pony re-shod!

I know.... Not too proud about the colonies... but I still would have said spanish. Well, there go my convictions down the drain

Tetley in my cup , I know, I know.... Should exercise today, really, did not do anything the last 5 days, very unusual for me... Dreaming of a new treadmill and don't know which one to get (and when to order it considering I don't know when the house will be finished...). Anyone has an advice for a good treadmill? Right now considering a Livestrong one, but it is still an open discussion.....

Your tea should follow your convictions....
Hasn't all this discussion here convinced you to drink a good quality tea? There is not enough time in one's life to settle for anything less. It's OK to scrimp on a car. It's OK to get an 'ordinary' bicycle. It's even OK to go for a lower quality microwave oven. But never, NEVER EVER accept low quality tea!

Having just gotten my pony shod, I have returned to the barn for a cup of East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea and a plate of chocolate-topped Manneken waffles!
Boy, I sure hope they have these things where you live! Good stuff!

It is called to be proactive instead of reactive. Better safe than sorry If not for security officers at entries to the majority of public places in Israel there would be a lot more maimed and dead. When the suicide bomber realises s/he is going to be searched/exposed and triggers the bomb, there are far fewer casualties in the open space than if it happened inside of a shopping mall or a cafe. The approach to the problem

Maybe only the latter because I don't remember this almost like a sweet echo in Keemun before.

If I may toot my own horn... I believe I said before that these two companies are simply the very best tea merchants around. I've not only never had a 'bad' or even an 'ordinary' tea from them, every tea they put out is extraordinary! The best of the best!

Edited to say; for black teas, that is. There are some other very good green tea purveyors.

At least a few people picked up on the sarcasm.

Milk and some homemade wheat bread toasted with butter. Yummy. I made some whole grain bread last night that is really good and no where near as dense. Then again, it called for 1/4 wheat flour and not four cups...

But... Which tea if you have to have it with milk ? I cannot have my tea without milk, that is the thing I cannot change.
And to pour milk on a very good tea seems barbaric to me....
What to do.....

Ahhh but milk blocks the absorption of many of the anti oxidants so you are missing out on one of the best health benefits of drinking tea if you use milk.

Just plain old moo juice. I try and start the day with 16 ounces of milk. It is good for me and is matching up very nicely with the whole grain bread.

I'd trade my birthmark for a loaf of really good, dense bread. Something that you need two hands to lift the loaf. The stuff they sell here has the consistency of a Dacron pillow, and less flavor. Years ago there were two excellent German bakeries in the area (about an hour's drive away) but both closed as the breads, cookies, and cakes were not to Japanese taste. I'm a mediocre baker, and turn out 'edible' breads, but not 'good' breads. I want the stuff I get to eat in Europe!

Almost 9pm, time for a movie and a glass of tequila. Gonna watch "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" tonight (for the umteenth time) and tequila is the perfect beverage for it!

Buy a bread machine and make your own. It is pretty easy and the house smells great when it is baking. It takes 3 1/2 hours to make a loaf. The Hubby got me a great book of bread recipes that has a massive section on wheat and multi grain breads.
