A doctor, my brother, suggested to drink gin because it combines bad (strong alcohol) and good (herbs)
I tried a few of them, didn't like it.
Single Malt Whisky all the way through, smoky variety. At least for the last 3 years. Before that there was no alcoholic drink that I liked. At all.

I don't have any bad memories tied to whisky, vodka or any other alcoholic drinks.
Sounds a bit ambiguous. Why don't I have them?
a) because I have always been a control freak and never got drunk to a state when I was unable to control my tongue and actions?
b) because I was so drunk that I lost the memories, be they (the memories) good a bad?

I have to ponder about it....
A cup of cooked Pu-Erh.

You are sooo right!

It is funny when we go to pub and order a glass of orange juice and a gin with a slimline tonic. Unless they ask, the waiters/waitresses always, like 100%, misplace the drinks when they serve us...

The last of Pi Lo Chun "Green Snail Spring".

Ti Kwan Yin Oolong. This is a lovely Oolong, on the green side of the spectrum. Probably my favourite Oolong? Oooh, hard to say. But definitely on the short list.

I forget things.
I just realised that I have already opened Mao Feng, but from another company, Chah Online Tea.

Cuppa #8
Mao Feng (Yellow Mountain Fur Peak).
I like this one more than Pi Lo Chun. When I near the bottom of the caddy I am going to open The Chinese Tea Company's Huang Shan Mao Feng and compare the two. The price is the same.

While wasting time on the Internet, I stumbled upon sale in The Chinese Tea Company and ordered two 50g packs of Dragon Well I could not withstand the temptation.
Big Buddha Dragon Well Tea - Grade B
Big Buddha Dragon Well Tea - Grade A
I sent Juyan email and asked her to keep the tea. I will pick it up the next week in person.

That's an interesting idea.. but you would miss out on the taste.

Dr. Pepper bubble gum as a taste solution?

and currently I'm drinking a Pepsi *gasp*. But I just finished a Dr. Pepper like five minutes ago. xD

For me tequila has the most favorable ratio
(effects_of_the_third_kind) /hangover.

The problem with it is that tastes ugly. So that you have to use local anesthetics in the form of salt and lemon.

The worst ratio is for beer. No flash and an eternity to be able see the light in the eyes again.

The best flash is from wodka at room temperature. Once I was at a small conference in Czechia, with a bunch of Russians. The last day, instead of going to the pub like every other night and get soaked with the local brew, and come back on the elbows, we all got together and everybody came down with his own bottle. I had some Teachers, that was still sealed. Why open it if there was the pub with that great beer and that ice cold peach shots to chase it down. They had their own good stuff. After proper lubrication, one guy drunk a big glass of it at my health and then offered me a full glass of it, nodding and smiling. I sort of figured it was a very friendly gesture, propitious of international brotherhood, but also a sort of virility trial. Although there was also a Siberian lady that was filtering it quite efficiently. And the only strange thing about her were the hairs of her ears that were standing up instead of being cutely and modestly curled. So I thanked him warmly, and carefully took the glass in my hand. I examined the limpid absence of turbidity, the almost viscous quality of the fluid in the glass: I had a few already, like everybody else. Eventually I did exactly as he had done. One single, slow long pull, looking the guy in the eye. What a flash. Setting up nicely and growing and glowing from the stomach up to the head were it did indeed kaboom. When I handed back the empty glass, I found an other glass filled to the rim under my nose, and grinning Russians looking at me, sort of knowingly expectant. I was going to pick it up, and do an encore, oblivious of consequences, when my Norwegian friend, that was standing behind me, put an hand on my shoulder and said no. Just that. So I seated back and said, no sorry, it would be too much for me. The Russian smiled and put it down like it was water.

We Americans take our security very seriously. It is vital to have all sorts of detectors and bomb proof doors to protect against the statistically insignificant possibility that someone might try and shoot or blow up some location.

Fear the rare event and please walk through the metal detectors at the airport naked.

Several pots of tea at the office and a Dr. Pepper at the house. I am working on a second loaf of bread which promises to be very yummy. My package from Tea Gscwendner arrived today. I had to restock my rooiboses. The Plum Cinnamon is back in season so I picked up 500 grams. I always run out of it and it is very yummy and it goes away in February so I needed to have enough to get me through the year and I refuse to risk that it sells out early.

Mid-afternoon cuppa -- Peet's Pride of Port. I sometimes forget how really good this blend is. Doesn't require milk, but will stand up to it quite nicely. A good balance between astringency and mellow. And a good nose. Glad I buy it by the pound!

Time to place an order at Peet's -- a pound of Holiday Blend coffee (different every year, but always a treat), and two new Oolongs to try: Phoenix Mountain Oolong, and Four Seasons Oolong.
