Maybe they wanted your cats indoors so they wouldn't get scared by the noises.

Can your let them out during the day? We keep Mr M inside a night time, but he goes out in the day.

trying to get the dog and the cats to chill out. a little after 11 and the booms are still going strong. the horses didn't eat their dinner, I think they are hiding in a lower pasture under the trees.

too bad the animals are like this. the 4th is my second favorite holiday

My little tough guy ignored the whole thing.

I used to like the 4th until every idiot started trying to outdo every other idiot with the fireworks.

I have just booked my ticket to Darwin! Going Friday. Escaping the winter (not really that cold) for a couple of weeks. 22min to 33max degrees all the time.

It will be colder on site (Arnhem land woop woop!) gets down to 10 degrees sometimes, but will still warm up to 30 or so.

I wonder how my reader will like the trip. This is my fisrt since my reader arrived. Will I need to use that thick cover? Or will I be ok with the normal one? Decisions decisions. Ohh I better make sure I have heaps of unread books on it. Stuff working. The boss did joke it was a holiday. I wonder if she will go easy on me when I get there?

She had better have the Cointreau and the chocolates ready. I need bribing to do my job!

Not legally.....but I've been letting them out anyway....I'll probably get a fine....we'll see....I'm trying to keep them in more....

Maybe if you bought a machine built with quality parts and an OS that doesn't make them work all the time for nothing it would last longer. An Apple maybe?...

Oh, that's easily tested and fixed yourself. It's the biggest failing part in computers because of the add-ons and the fact that a lot of people leave it on 24/7. Computer shops make a killing with those.

Change it for a bigger one. But that you already know... Good luck!

The thing is only 3 weeks old! I just this week got everything installed, working as preferred, etc.....

still undecided whether to get it repaired or exchanged....If I wasn't concerned about the licensed/registered software.....Adobe, MS..and my personal files on it.... I think I'd just exchange it...but....if there are inherent design issues....then I'm still screwed....this is actually the 2nd one of this model I've had. The first one was exchanged for the current (dead) one!!!

How many hours does an exchange cost you?

Could you keep the hard disk and put it in something else?

Well, yeah, but the point is I paid $2000 for this (including monitor) and I expect it to work!

I can probably exchange it -- that takes a couple of hours -- but then I have to reinstall everything and assuming there are no "activation" issues with Adobe, Corel, MS Office, etc. etc.

The store doesn't open for a couple more hours... I'll take the whole thing in and decide on the spot I guess.......if it were just a powersupply then I'd prefer to have that swapped out....but.....no idea at this point...
