Is he one of those people who thinks that Derren Brown has real magic powers, despite the fact that the good Mr Brown has stated, on numerous occasions, that it's all trickery, showmanship etc., as well as personally being a skeptic who sees little value in claims of the paranormal?

Because surprisingly enough, many people do!

I shouldn't doubt it. Another fellow at work got really mad at me one day. I told him that I had a photo of a flying saucer that I shot in my back yard (yes, that is my back yard in the photo). Before I could say another word, he was off and running with tales of flying saucers he'd seen and other paranormal tales. It was when I showed the photo that he got really upset.

I've posted that photo to MR before, but you can see it here. And no, it isn't digitally enhanced. I shot the photo before I ever had a digital camera or scanner with a 35mm film camera. (I won't say that frame wasn't double-exposed, however.)

I'm kind of proud of that photo, although I can do much better than that today with PhotoShop. It was inspired by an old Mickey Mouse Club recurring segment my sister made me watch as a child (I preferred Howdy Doody) where the Mouseketeers would travel through the air in a similar vehicle. I've noticed that my photo has even been linked to on another website (Post #4; click to see spoiler)!
