Red words without tags

Hi!
I'm recently seeing random words in red. I'm posting an example. The funny thing is, that the word "readers" was red almost anywhere in that topic, but not everywhere. Any ideas why this is happening?

if you have searched for a word, the search term will be highlighted in red in any page of the results of your search. you can remove the hightlighting by deleting from the url the part that says something like &highlight="readers" (i can't remember the exact syntaxe but you get the idea).

I didn't search for anything, I just followed the link in the man forum. But I'll pay attention to the URL bar the next time it happens

hm, if you're not following search results then that is very odd.

if you see it again, could you post the url and say where you clicked ? i'm intrigued now.

It's conceivable that the URL you clicked on was a "search results" URL.

OK, false alarm.

I have indeed followed a link within a thread, and the link was highlighting the word readers. I found the URL in the history and it also states "highlight=readers".
I was confused, because it happens for the second time and I didn't pay it much attention the first one. I was probably following another link generated after searching for a word.

There can he [search]Value[/search] BB code in a post using the binocular's icon.

i.e. I'm recently seeing random words in red

You may have to click more than once.

yes, excellent point. and i should have mentioned that other people can post a link (which someone else might then follow) which contains search results. more fun with bb codes, thanks wde !
