Are you an Author or a Reader?

So....as a member of this forum....are you an author or a reader?

Yes yes.........I know most authors can read as well. (sorry)

But for simplicity sake.......choose one or the other.

Qualifications for being an author are simple.......you must have written something, completely. Not just drafts...an entire story.

Publishing I wouldn't consider mandatory, not for this poll....I'm sure there are many out there who have stories collecting dust they either have no intention of trying to get published, or for other reasons. If you've written something, anything.......I think you are an 'author'.

Although with the amount of words I type an hour on this site I do believe I deserve at least an honorary title of "author."

I try to be both! I'm also a school teacher, but for the next three months I get to concentrate on just being the two things.

I have the greatest respect for those who can (and do) describe the worlds that exist in their heads and the people in them for the rest of us to enjoy.

After forty-odd years as a pro in the field, I don't think I've ever encountered a fiction author who isn't also a life-long, avid reader. It's like asking: "Are you a musician or a music lover?" Fun poll, though. Interesting results so far, too. Thanks. Neil

So more an envier of Authors than an Author, Oh well we can all dream!
