Hi from a new author/reader

Hello Everyone!

I'm so happy to find you all. I am an author (24 books, a USA Today Bestseller) of traditionally published books whose work has recently been posted on Smashwords.com (all e-readers including Kindle, Sony, Nook, IPod) and Amazon. What a leap for someone who considers herself technologically challenged. Now I am a true convert.

I have written in many genres but my specialty is legal thrillers. Currently, my Witness Series is available for e-readers (Hostile Witness, Silent Witness and Privileged Witness). Character Witness is outside the series so you won't find Hermosa Beach lawyer Josie Bates in that one but hopefully you'll like that cast of characters, too.

While I'm not a lawyer, I am married to a superior court judge who is kind enough to be my 'in-house' research department. Please visit me at rebeccaforster.com.

Now I'm off to wrap my kids Christmas gifts - Kindles! Thanks for letting me introduce myself and I hope to talk to you all soon.

Hi back Wizard!

Thanks for the hello and now how a out some help? How do I address you? Cassidym? Wizard? It took me forever to post my introduction and another forever to find it again today. Bear with me. It's easier to write a book sometimes than to figure all this out.

Thanks again for taking the time to write. I'm looking for something new to read to if you have any suggestions, let me know. Last book I ADORED was Wicked but have read some wonderful thrillers in between while I'm workign on my new one. Rebecca

Oh my gosh, I actually know someone who lives in Surprise? Now I have to figure out who it is and then get back to you to see if you know them! What a great place to live. You can always say it's me, from SURPRISE!

Thanks for the welcome. There sure is a lot to explore! Hope you're all ready for the holidays.

Okay, here's my queestion. If I hit reply in the message you sent to me it looks like the reply is generally posted and doesn't indicate that I was writing to 'desertgrandma' for instance. So I guess I better call everyone by name, right???

Dreams! Thanks for the hi back. I'm so happy to see you like Smashwords.com. They have been super (very patient and excited about their authors). I love your picture. I think I have to figure out how to put one up. The Kindles are wrapped. I'm a lucky mom to have two sons who love to read (and both can write too). Somewhere a librarian is smiling on me.

Thank you, I have fun with avatars. It you want to add yours, all you have to do is click on User CP up top on the left in the blue bar. Scroll down and click edit avatar. Then just upload a pic. You can even use a book cover for your avatar. After about a week and at least 10 posts or so, you can add a signature that has links to your site and your books.

Have fun exploring the forums.

EDIT: If you want to answer back to specific posters.. on the right hand side corner of all posts are 3 buttons.. quote, then multiquote [to be used if you want to have more than 1 quote (as in.. quotes from multiple posters) in a single post back from you] and then the quick reply arrow. On multiquoting use the middle button, then just make sure that the last quote button on multiquoting is the single quote button and it will open the window for you to type. If you decide not to use that quote, just click on it and the red outline disappears again. I hope that helps.... off to work now... have a great day.

Thanks. Okay, I'll try it. Figure I'll start out with a face for the name and then go to book covers. I'm always curious to see what writers look like then I see we all pretty much look the same - our minds just go in a zillion directions.
