Notice there is only one fiction work included in that list. No JK Rowling stuff or other best sellers at all? |

What have we have here , the aussie sub branch meeting of mobileread or does it just indicate we are the most screwed over country for geo restrictions so any mention of pirate books makes us want to find out more .

Sonist- funny you should list Pascal Baetan's Nude Photography, The Art and the Craft. This is absolutely the best non-technical book to test the pdf rendering engines of today's mobile readers. Failing grades: iPad, iPod, Sony, Kindle 2, Irex DR800SG. Passing grade: Motorola Droid (but only if you install the $3.99 Beamreader App). Now, the reason I don't see many people complaining about the book is that they don't own a printed version, and don't realize what they are missing. Excellent pirate test.

			Confusing title..

I guess 'pirated' in this sense means book that is the most downloaded and not being part of any trade transaction. I just wonder from where they took their data, I don't think that torrent sites, direct download sites, news groups, p2p, p2m, ... that any of these whould provide any data to the press willingly. So they based it on what trolls download most, and as trolls don't know how to find anything meaningful they post something 'cool' on their social websites or blogs so other trolls just like them might spread the virus farther. You just have to look on the titles above to understand everything about this certain group of people, the books are either fiction bestsellers (people thinking .. so many people read and 'talk' about it so it has to be good) or people trying to satisfy their basic urges (things relating to sex). I would like to see titles like the ones mentioned by Mortimer Adler, books which you could read again and again and always find something new in them. Practical books (how to.. ) have their merits, but ultimate goal should be enhancing your mind state and I won't be able to do that with any of Stephanie Meyer's works (or any other from the list for that matter), will I? |
