Would you like your boss telling you to work overnight ? Probably not, unless you're mental. Then why are are you excepting others to do something you wouldn't ? Plus, a tired developer breaks stuff more often then fixing it.

No, but according to the Chaos theory even the press of a page turn-buttton may cause a new firmware update. |

I really am under the impression that you are the marketing-director or something at Bookeen, even if you say you are not. And you are here to do some damage-controle. Please tell them to hurry up! But, anyway... My boss WILL tell me to work overnight if he runs the risk of losing customers by not giving them the service they expect and should get. Although this hardly ever happens since we use hard deadlines so our customers know when to expect their promised software. Besides that, good planning makes overhours unnecessary. I actually am looking for another ereader to buy from the bonus I received (we deliver updates on time and not "soon" or "anywhere in the near future" so I still get bonusses ). Various new devices (3G, WIFI, more gray-scales, ePub support, etc) will be available from october 12th on . This does not mean I will buy one immediately but a replacement will be bought anyhow before the end of 2010 and that probably will not be a Bookeen-device, sorry. My husband will get my Gen3 then so let's hope for his sake that "soon" does not mean Q4 2010.

I wonder if anyone still knows that archaic and out-dated format they used to call "ePub" when they release the FW. And what was DRM, again?

1) Your boss is the one who told you to drop that project and do something more important instead 2) you have lost your job as no boss on earth would accept "Sorry boss, I know I am months overdue with my work but I still haven't even the faintest idea when (if ever) I will get it done" I am 99.99999% sure that it's not the programmers' fault but was a management decision to push back the update. So it's not so much a case of getting in a few extra hours for the programmers but for their boss to assign enough % of their time to that update project so they can finally get it finished...
