I have dropped mine a couple of times as well, from the couch to the floor when I dozed off. No worse for wear.... I made a lanyard out of crochet thread to just wrap around my wrist so if i do doze, the thing is hanging on for dear life... it's worked. whew.

I had put the Reader in the inside pocket of my suit coat and forgot about it when I picked the jacket up from the backseat of the car. The Reader fell about 5' onto the concrete drive and hit on the corner of the standard case. Nothing broken. Still working fine over two months later.

Nah, if I weren't so comfy on the couch on my back I wouldn't dose, but that has been my position of choice since I was a youngin to read..... I really don't like sitting upright in a chair for some reason.

So do I. The only place I can read seated is in a waiting room. Having a reader on my lap is too far for my eyes and nearer requires a tiresome death grip.

They used to have a brochure with a list of FAQ's, I think that question was #1, and the answer was (close paraphrase) "It's not a &@#^ bean bag!"

It's stuffed with shredded 'durafoam' (the same padding that's likely on your sofa) so you don't sink through it all the way to the floor, and it doesn't wear out like polystyrene beads do.

So in short, no, not a bean bag chair, not even a really huge bean bag chair, it's a Love Sac!

The problem with "LoveSacs" and bean bag chairs is that they do not provide the revenue stream of loose change that a normal couch would.
