Just took the plunge

Hi All,

Well time for an announcement. I just minutes ago placed my order for a black PP. My first e-reader. So now I sit here eagerly anticipating its arrival.
I have to say thanks to all of those who posted reviews and answered my questions, made my life easier in trying to make my final decision, especially given this is my first device and I have not seen e-ink in 'the flesh' so to speak.

So, we'll see how long before I get to hold it in my hot little hands

Congrats!! The Pocket Pro was my first foray into the world of eBooks & eBook readers. After about a week of playing with it, I can say with 100% certitude that I am now hooked & thoroughly happy with my purchase! And the "icing on the cake" has been the excellent support & help provided by all the posters here and RobertB of Astak!

I got the white one, so I haven't experienced any of the not-yet-completely-dried paint bubble issues that those with the color units are experiencing.

Right now I'm starting to play with the different formats for eBooks and doing some converting between formats using Calibre. Thanks to another poster on this forum (can't remember the name

) who posted a converted PDB book to FB2, I am now smitten with the FB2 format!

Ok I can see where this is going....hmmm!

Well it has only been 5 days (including the weekend) and I'm still excited. I'm like a kid coming up to his/her birthday...time can't move forward quick enough. I want it now!!! Need to keep telling myself "Patience young jedi".
