13 pages and nary a mention of God's own toasting bread - Warburtons Toastie? Shame on you all, shame, I say.

i'm pretty sure they are what we call "mouillettes", strips of buttered toast for dipping in eggs. i don't know any other names in english for them...

nope. zelda calls it "pain perdu" (lost bread). hm, now i wonder why it's called that. probably it is because it was a way to use stale bread that would otherwise be "lost".
