"Conscience"-clearing? I've got a drink for that...not so much "clearing" as a total mind enema. It comes highly recommended (or possible "warned against") by many people here, including a qualified pshrynkologist.

13 pages and nary a mention of God's own toasting bread - Warburtons Toastie? Shame on you all, shame, I say.

Proper toast is done with thick white bread, lovely artery-choking butter spread on thickly and served, cut in triangles, upon a plate. Next you'll be telling me you all eat boiled eggs without soldiers to dip in!!! It's a crime against humanity, tha'ts what it is.

that's how i have my toast for breakfast in the morning, but i don't think you could fit that into an egg !

I use day old Texas toast to make French toast for Sunday brunch sometimes.

have not had french toast in year or so. sounds good.

nope. zelda calls it "pain perdu" (lost bread). hm, now i wonder why it's called that. probably it is because it was a way to use stale bread that would otherwise be "lost".

sould have known that as I did know it was made up by bakers as a way to sell old bread.

was it ? i didn't know that. i've never seen it sold in a bakery, it's more of a home-made dish to me.
