My Clara Colour on 5.18 got this update earlier when I tried to sync.

From what I can tell, 6.0 is only for the Clara BW, Clara Colour, Libra Colour and Elipsa 2E.

In the changelog they mention that epub and kepub use the same renderer now –*but it has been that way for years in 5.x. Does that mean 4.x users will get this update as well?

It's just a newer 5.x version that got a major version bump. It's mostly the same vs 5.18, the latest accessibility/early access OS version that you could opt-in into.

4.x users don't get this version yet (unless you opt-in)!

Unless you are using a Kobo Libra Colour, a Kobo Clara Colour or a Kobo Clara BW or Kobo Elipsa 2E, are in an EU country and choose to update to the acessibility firmware (V5 or higher), you have no worries as yet. No need to investigate, if you were using the pre-release version I posted in the 5.18 thread -- it was pinned to that specific firmware release. I need to make a new version that doesn't disable itself for 6.x

My wife uses a Clara BW, but we are in the US. At some point it will be offered to her reader, and I don't want that to happen until everything is ready.
