Badly scratched screen

Got a used Aura H2O Edition from ebay and unfortunately the screen is badly scratched. The rest of the device is almost pristine which makes me think this might be a frankendevice.

As you can see, it's likely just the screen lense and not the actual display. Is the lense fused to the screen? Or do I have to buy a completely new screen?

Any suggestions on what I can do to improve the situation?

Normally I'd return the device but the postage is prohibitively expensive and finding this device on ebay is rare.

Contact the seller. If that doesn't work well enough, then if you used PayPal to pay, contact them and see what they say to do. Last time I had an issue with an item, I contacted the seller and got nowhere. I then contacted PayPal. They refunded the money and said I could keep the item.

I'll absolutely do that anyway but since the body of the device is in really good shape and I can get replacement screens, I'll try my best to get a reduction that would cover at least a new screen.

Getting a new screen seems to be more realistic than getting an Edition 2 that works and is in good shape.

Is the screen of edition 1 and edition 2 identical?
