Post Kindle Comic Converter and the Libra Colour

Hello!

I recently got a Libra Colour, and wanted to know what the best manga settings were when using Kindle Comic Converter to convert manga for the KLC. I have tried many options, but I've given up at this point. So if any of yall have genuine good settings with the KCC for manga specifically on the Libra Colour, I would love it if you could share with me.

Thank you in advance!!!

Something like this should be good enough. For custom gamma I'm sure there is a set number that people will use to make the contrast look better for manga but I'm unsure of what the number should be. If you don't like how some manga look you can always fiddle around with the custom gamma options. I saw some user mentioned that he adjusted the number to 2.50 for his Kobo Clara Colour which seems odd.

Hover over the spread splitter option and see which one you'd prefer more.

I'd highly suggest installing something like KOReader for your Kobo device since it's easier to adjust the contrast within the interface. This is also a good way to separate your ebooks vs your manga library. The benefit with KOReader is that you only need to store your manga into their respective folders without the need to fix up any of the metadata which is quite good.

Also it won't edit my post for some reason but I would test the range of the custom gamma from around 1.20 to 2.50 in intervals of .10 or .20. Try it for one manga chapter/volume and see how it looks on your Kobo.

Thank you so much! Your settings helped a lot, and it looks amazing now! I did check the gamma scale and adjusted it bit by bit, but I feel like you helped the best! Seriously, I cannot thank you enough for this. Thank you so much!

The Kobo is one I got recently, so I was thinking of not installing KOReader because of the warranty and in case anything happens. But if it is better, do you think I should install it then?

you should definitely install koreader, you can modify the contrast directly on the kobo and way much more stuff, there also this couple of plugins that I recommend. https://github.com/KORComic/comicreader.koplugin and https://github.com/KORComic/comicmeta.koplugin, I also recommend using the rainbow eraser option seeing as you have the libra colour

Instead of drag and drop, I would recommend reading message #2 in that thread and using the scripts to install the software.
