And this is why I'm here !! Like countless numbers I've had a kindle paperwhite for years and years, works perfectly, does everything i need, lasts for months on one charge the way i use it. But I guess I'm not enough of a consumer....
Annoyingly the kindle i have is already un-reregisterable at amazon and its experimental browser is primitive to the point of uselessness, and particularly when seeking winter breaks. Ahem. So no easy fix for me by the look of it, |

Really? I may have to get an Apple TV trial and binge-watch the show then. Wool is one of my favorite books. I didn't like the next two as much, but they were still good. I've avoided trying Apple TV because if the book is good, the show (or movie) usually sucks. And the other way around.
It's rare to see both a good book and a good movie. Jurassic Park broke this rule, and so did Weir's "The Martian". Others have too, but it's not worth wracking my brain at the moment to try and remember which ones. Oh yeah, I think the Harry Potter stuff was good in both book and movie form. |

Is it possible to open a dedicated thread? There are really so many.
(does it has to be on the Lounge, or on which section would be better?) |

I knew my laziness would get me. My old kindle keyboard has a bit of a suspicious bulge on the back, so I've decided not to risk charging it.
It's a bit of tricky one, really. I can't even wipe it unless I can start it up. I guess I could try to get a replacement battery before the 20th, but I'll be cutting it a bit fine unless I can get one that's already in the UK. |

Season 3 starts July 3, so you can time your viewing accordingly. (My wife is a binger, I usually like an episode a day. But with either, it's torture to be held to the tradition of a single episode per week.)

I *just* got the email about the cut off. My K4NT has been online this whole time, too. The 20% discount is good until June 20, but I doubt I'm in the market to purchase a new one by then, unless family has a sudden need.

I just got the email as well - amazing, heh.
It had a discount code and a promise for credit for books upon the new device shipping, but of course since I cannot actually buy a physical Kindle from Amazon.com (where my Kindle is registered, because Amazon.com is the only storefront where I can by Kindle books from), it’s rather useless. I tried the code on Amazon.de (which is, I believe, the only Amazon storefront that actually sells physical Kindles to me, but where I cannot buy Kindle books from) just for the “fun” of it but of course the code didn’t work there. I’m fairly sure I’m not the only person with this issue (i.e. someone in a country without their own Amazon storefront) but I sort of suspect Amazon hasn’t given this much thought. |
