Aura E2 blank screen

Suddenly, my Kobo Aura 2 stopped working. Blank screen and white light blinking.
First I thought about battery: I replaced it,same.

Secondly, I asked for SD image, and @DNSB nicely sent me the image. I 'dd' the .img file to a brand new Sandisk 32Gb class 10 sd card, but still the same: either I got the persistent light, either the blinking white...

Did I do something wrong? Or maybe it's just time to trash my good old Kobo?

(my serial number is 60QL2B217AC009611 so I assumed it's v2 Kobo Aura 2)

I have the exact same issue but with my Kobo Clara HD, any information on this would be appreciated.
So far I've tried flashing both images (ver A, and ver B) to an SD card, with and without modifying my Serial Number.
Pressed power button and led light only flashes, then tried to do that same thing after connecting to a power source to do a factory reset and nothing.
The strange thing is that my computer recognizes my SD card as a KOBO device, and even lets me set it up with the Windows KOBO application, but as soon as I put my SD into my device there's no response, and Windows does not recognize it either, so I'm kinda lost.
I don't want to throw it yet... 5 years seems like a short amount of time for the Kobo to just decide to die.

EDIT:
I was not using the correct image version for my motherboard!!! I found this article and used the other version of the IMG and now my kobo is alive, thank you!!
