How can the Kobo Libra 2 battery be changed?

How can the Kobo Libra 2 battery be changed?
I managed to change the battery on a very old kindle keyboard.
A friend managed to change the battery on a very old kindle paperwhite 2.
But the Kobo Libra 2 seems to be sealed up.
I had thought it would have to be thrown away eventually.
A great shame since it's the best reader I have used.
Recently I saw some posts on mobileread advocating changing the battery.
So how is it done?
Can it be done by the user?
Or can it be sent back to Kobo?
Or somewhere else?

You may want to check the following page: Kobo Libra 2: Pleasantly Repairable for some information. There are a lot of other links plus you can also check the iFixit guides for the Libra Colour ( Kobo Libra Colour (N428) Repair ) since opening up most of the Kobo ereaders is pretty similar.

In the attached image, you can see where the Libra 2 battery is soldered to the motherboard.

I should have said that I'm in England, in case that makes a difference.

Other than sourcing the battery, it should make no difference.

Thanks David for your rapid reply.
I hope it will be many years before replacement is needed.
Maybe not in my lifetime.
How long do they usually last?
Reading say 3 hours a day without light or internet.

Fortunately, I know someone who can do the desolder and the solder of a new battery should I ever need one.

From what I've seen, the average life seems to be in the 7-10 year range. This varies wildly depending on usage, temperature, charging patterns, etc.
