Updated without removing renameotabin
Kindle Paperwhite 12th-gen Signature Edition. Jailbroken with WinterBreak. Updated to 5.18.2. Installed renameotabin. Opened KUAL and renamed OTA binaries. All good.
Yesterday I messed up: updated to 5.18.5.0.1 without disabling/removing renameotabin. Now ;log mrpi just does a normal search, and KUAL won’t launch. Update_hotfix gives "sorry something went wrong" and prompts for a reboot. what can I do now? Last edited by marrco; 10-11-2025 at 11:21 AM. |

Did you restart the Kindle twice? If not, do that, then try tapping the the Run Hotfix booklet, don't try to reinstall it. If that works, reinstall MRPI and KUAL.
Do not factory reset/wipe it. |
