Maybe Wi-Fi needs to be off for a certain period of time before setting the clock manually is allowed? My Wi-Fi is always off, and I also use sideload mode.

Yes, but as I said, there are times when you need to change the actual time manually, such as on a cruise ship.

That is what I am seeing too.

Just to prove it isn't me - I went into my wife's Kobo (a slightly older H2O) and it allows time and date to be changed. So, yes, I know how to do it, but the Libra just is not letting it happen.

I can change the time on both my Sage (4.34) and my Libra 2 (4.38 something, not the latest). Wifi off, no sideloaded mode.

Strange why the time is not editable on some Libra 2 models. And not on newer models either, it seems.

Odd. The last time I was on a cruise ship, I didn't bother changing the time on my Kobo since the internals run on UTC and only the displayed time/date change.

On my Kobo ereaders whether or not I have WiFi on, changing the date and time does not seem to be enabled though changing the time zone works. On my phone, I just changed the city to a city in the timezone I was currently in which seems to work well enough. The ship's WiFi allowed me to connect my phone and other devices so looking up a city was pretty trivial.

Changing date/time manually was tested on a Clara HD, Sage (both 4.38.23429) and Libra Colour (4.43.23418).

Weirder and weirder. Why some of us can change the time, but others can't? There doesn't seem to be any rules to it - old or new devices, latest firmware or not, wifi on or off, sideloaded mode enabled or not... A mystery.

Maybe wifi needs to be off for a while? It's always off on mine.

As I just said, ships change their time for various reasons within a timezone even, at one point the ship was 3 hours different to the current longitude's timezone

My wifi has been off for months, maybe a year or more. wifi is off. I'm using sideloadedmode.
