Thank you. There's not much users but at least... me which relies on taranis to organize my bicycle trips! You should thus expect a long term support! By the way, the application is really stable, so maintenance is pretty easy. I wish it could be the same at work

I don't understand why there aren't more users, I consider it a necessity on my Pocketbook!
A very useful and great looking app. Thanks for all the time you continue to spend on improving it. Last edited by neil_swann80; 09-21-2025 at 01:45 PM. |

I’ve tried it on mine and it’s indeed a great app. However, I’m not using it because the weather forecast that it provides for my location is rather inaccurate. I want to emphasize that it’s not the developer’s fault (as I’ve said before, the app itself is great and totally worth trying) and I would totally have used it if OpenWeather API provided more accurate data.

@DJUNGELSKOG Please take time to test the 1.15.0-rc1 pre-release.
It adds support for Open-Meteo API. They redistribute data from many National Weather Provider and also publish their own model. The configuration panel of this pre-release version of Taranis has a combo-box to select a data-provider (OpenWeather, Open-Meteo, or one of the seamless models of National Weather Provider as published by Open-Meteo). Note that Open-Meteo doesn't provide alerts, nor moon data. Also the length of daily forecasts now depends on the selected data provider. It's a pre-release and I'd appreciate any feedback before release; Keep in mind that translations have not been updated (apart French, my mother tongue). Full change log in the sources: https://github.com/orontee/taranis/b....md#unreleased Last edited by orontee; 01-04-2026 at 05:12 AM. Reason: Updated pre-release tag to v1.15.0-rc1 |

If you still need a tester on an 6.10 device, I own an Era Colour and could do it the next days.

![]() Update: I've installed the RC and selected the Open-Meteo provider in the settings and the weather forecast for this week looks reasonable. Thank you very much for including it!! I've tried switching back to OpenWeather out of curiosity and their forecast for my city is still incorrect. Oh and a fun fact: my Vivlio is from Toulouse! Hi orontee, I tested v1.15.0-rc3 on my PB632 / HD3 It looks good! Great work! It wasn't clear to me which Data provider to use. I'm in Vienna/Austria. So I tested different ones. The output was quite divergent. The closest was open-meteo with: -4°C Moderate snow fall * the list of Data providers could be Alphabetic * will you add the DWD Icon data provider? |
