Kevin, you've been very helpful. I'm at the point where the ePub reads well in a few different readers. My q's now are of the learning and curiosity stage to better learn Sigil. I'll be sure to reference this conversation.

Yes, it seems MobileRead will not allow users to add attachments until the user has proven they are trustworthy by making enough normal posts.

In general, that is a good spam prevention measure, but in your case it is limiting us.

If you want you can save the epub under a new name and post it someplace and PM (personal mail) me (KevinH) here via Mobileread a link, I will grab it and take a look to see what may have happened.

Please do not post the link here in our Forum unless you own the copyright (or it is in the public domain) as it is against forum rules.

I know of no limitations on new users being able to attach/thumbnail images. My guess is they're trying to add them via a website url instead of simply attaching and uploading local image files from their computer.

It seems that the gate there is that if you press "quote", bingo, moderation, but not quick reply.

As far as I am aware, 8-12 posts should be enough to remove messages from needing moderation but I'm not certain that a limitation on attaching files/images exists since I've seen those on messages in moderation in the Kobo forum.

The major issue I've seen is users not being aware that to attach images, they need to Go Advanced and then use either the Paper Clip icon or the Manage Attachments button.
