Light is usually around 5%.

Yes, Wi-Fi/Automatic Sync. I take my Clara HD with me to work and like to make sure that anything I read while out and about gets synced before I start reading on the Sage for the evening.

That's probably the reason you get less with your Sage. Wifi and sync are permanently off on mine (all my books are sideloaded).

I've been surprised to read into that link that USB C fast charging would degrade even more the batteries.
I recall on Kobo AuraHD the battery would last much more that the Forma's, but as you did mention its capacity was bigger, and the different size of the screen, or the PCB on which is based requires more power too..

I've had my Sage for 3.5 years and used basically daily. I've not noticed any particular degrading.

Is your success due to the charging system that you use? A few years ago, I got a USB charger (from Amazon) which lowers the current to the device being charged when it nears 90-95%. The charger is hooked to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) as an extra precaution.

Not really. I use an old Kindle charger I bought back in 2011. I charge my Sage when there's 10-20% left and take it off the charger a few hours later, usually. I've never left it to charge overnight (more due to the fact that I have 3 cats and so I never leave my ereaders unattended for a long time, than to any concerns about battery longevity).
