How's that?

The problem is that once you see the issue with BW text, you can't unsee it.

There's definitely a desire on this website for a new BW Sage and Libra but I'm not sure that holds outside of here.
You're right - there was a very important word that I simply forgot to type, despite thinking it. What I meant to type was "most Sage users here" , based on comments at MR from Sage users. That statement I would be happy to stand by, the comment as it ended up was flawed, as you rightly pointed out, thank you.

I fear that Kobo was not that careful about whom they chose to manufacture their readers. There is an American company (Albemarle) that could have supplied the maker with higher quality lithium (both for purity and energy capacity), but Kobo chose not to use them. Apple has use ALB lithium for many years. Next time we interview the head of Kobo, we can pose that question to them.
In the meanwhile, I am worried about when the global shipping aka supply chain system can get me an order for a Kobo Clara which I placed in April.

Sorry but as someone who owns both plus a Sage and several other ereaders, I don't find the screen on the Libra Colour to be inferior to the Libra 2. I do have to turn the screen brightness up to compensate for the darker screen due to the colour filter layer but once that is done, I find both equally usable though I prefer the Sage (these old eyes like a larger font size and the Sage lets me have that and what I consider to be a usable amount of text on the screen) for my day to day reading device. I no longer sit on the patio in sunlight due to worries about the UV exposure and I find that the larger battery in the KLC more than compensates for the increased battery drain (2050mAH vs 1420mAH so 44% more capacity).

As you said, YMMV.

An interesting claim. Considering that Albemarle does not sell batteries but rather lithium for use in manufacturing batteries, how do you know which lithium supplier is used by any manufacturer? As for higher quality lithium? That would likely depend on the people refining the lithium from the various sources. The majority of lithium mining seems to produce LiAl(Si₂O₆) (spodumene concentrate), LiOH (lithium hydroxide) and Li₂CO₃ (lithium carbonate) which are converted to the compounds used in the batteries.

I would like to apologize to John F from his post #35: I inadvertently edited my quote from within your post, when what I meant was to edit my own post and correct a misplaced possessive.

13-15 hours for a Sage would be nice. I feel like I'm barely getting 8 before I have to recharge.
