Please don't yell at me for not slogging through all the posts but what EPub App?
for android or course. I've been using Kindle almost exclusively and managing with Calibre and backing all my books as epubs. ...
With Amazon's recent "No Downloads" I'm looking to move exclusively to epub but may continue to convert books and copy to Kindle by USB...dunno yet...but I've got a Pixel table and have been reading on it (kindle app) a lot as well. I will be mostly using that to read on, but perhaps also on my pixel phone. Would be nice to be able to sync reading progress, bookmarks, notes maybe. Looks like Moon+ Reader Pro is highly recommenced thoughts? as is ReadEra Premium ?? I installed Librera and it's interesting but the ads are completely obnoxious! Thoughts? Suggestions? |

Pocketbook, and only tick the option that has to be ticked at install time. No ads on free version. Does PDFs and epubs properly. OPDS wireless client to Calibre Content server.
Moon+ Reader Pro and ReadEra recommended by some, hated by others. |

as of today.... Not Liking Moon+ but am liking Readera... have put Librera aside...too annoying with the ads...just saw a similar thing with Moon+ ... also Readera seem more intuitive/configurable than Moon+
P.S. I think I tried out Moon+ ages and ages ago...will take a look at Pocketbook. |

I liked PocketBook Reader and ReadEra, but now have been using Reasily EPUB Reader (ad-free FREE and then PRO version) for quite some time. Perfect for my personal requirements, and very fast. Don't know about sync functionality, as it is not part of my requirements.

I convert everything to ePub and then upload it to my Kindle either with Calibre's eMail to Kindle function or dropping it on the "upload to my Kindle library" page at Amazon.
I "google-ized" my Kindle Fire 8 the day I bought it. I used to use Google Books but, since Amazon adopted ePub as an acceptable input, I use the Kindle app. It takes fewer steps than getting ePubs into Google Books and eMailing them to my Kindle directly from Calibre is great. BTW: I also do find the Kindle app interface better (for me) than the Google Books app. |
