About the capabilities of modding a jailbroken Kindle

KOReader can't bypass the onboard DRM for the same reason that the Calibre DeDRM plugin can't: no one has broken it. Just being jailbroken doesn't suddenly grant unlimited access to everything on the device.

I had exactly the same issue with wikipedia.jar as I stated in one of my comments. I trying so hard to fix it but I couldn't. One should trace the code that loads the resources, I suspect they are being cached somewhere.

Definitely. When I started working on this project, I was surprised to find how little modifications on the kindle are documented. But as they say "necessity is the mother of invention", I wanted so hard to get generative AI with the least modifications and so I worked to make it myself.

that is pretty cool!!! actually seems super helpful especially for readers who read in a language that isn't their native language!

if you need some ideas, my most requested feature is simply a way to mark kindle books as unread... since they (annoyingly) pretty much all automatically appear as 1% read after downloading
it'd also be super cool to get a reading percentage bar to show, or some reading stats on the lock screen, I'd love that
