My message at #13 was wrong, it was indeed not Winterbreak that caused the issue, but after trying to apply the "Setting up a hotfix" part of the guide.
The kindle media storage was completely unaccessible via a computer after that.

Still a brick, despite having rebooted dozens of times...
I understand the modder is not responsible for any issue, but can't lie, I'm definitely a bit sad as it's pretty much 200 bucks lost here and can't buy another kindle anytime soon, especially a SE.

I try to reboot my PW3 many times but success is still far away from me
What I saw in window's device manager is mounting "kindle internal storage USB device" just before freeze. Looks like resetting to default state got me worse, while before that my PW still work somehow. Without computer connection though…

From looking at the code fix that was introduced to avoid the bricks we have, there doesn't seem to be anything pointing that rebooting will solve our issue here.
I've rebooted probably 100 times now and the very same problem occurs at boot.

If you have a PW3, a hardware mod via serial could maybe help you, but if you have a PW4 as your previous messages mentioned or a PW5 like me, hardware mods are not available as of now.

I've tried using https://github.com/yifanlu/Fastboot-Kindle , in the case that the Kindle would go into fastboot mode during this broken boot, but also to no avail.

I have a PW4, just a typo earlier. It has a serial port AFAIK. What hardware mod did you mention?
I also looked at the Fastboot-Kindle link and... didn't understand anything Neither how to make it, nor how to use it. I'm not a linux guy, only know basic things.
