Calibre versions > 3 don't start

I decided to finally update my calibre (ver 3.xx) to the latest (7.22) and found it does not start. I considered that it may be jumping to many versions so I tried 6xx, 5xx, 4xx without any improvement. Uninstalling and going back to 3.48 is the furthest I can go that opens.

Debug on 4.0 shows:

You might want to install a few Windows updates. 19041 was the 20H1 release which is well out of date.

Try seeing if there are any Windows Updates available. You do have some sort of discrepancy.

I see exactly the same, apart from date installed.

So, no discrepancy here. I'm up to date with Windows (just checked).

If the OP is also up to date and all else fails, I suggest they try a sfc -scannow, I have known it to fix issues related to the "Trusted Installer" etc.

I seem to have solved the issue. I had APU drivers and dedicated GPU drivers installed at same time. Uninstalled both, then installed just dedicated and now able to run 7.22. Thanks for everyone's help!
