The few times I've played with Hangul, I used Noto Serif Korean.

Please could someone do a standard Bookerly font with added weight? Thanks.

I did one ages ago, I don't have it anymore but must be somewhere around here.
There is merit to doing it, usually performs better than on-the-fly adding weights. |

If there is a version of Bookerly with weight added to it on MR, then it has to go as it's not allowed to be posted without Amazon's permission.

Chapparal Pro was removed, but it doesn't say why.
I've downloaded and modified a copy of it, and it is working at 99.99%. I've just found one nit that I don't know how to fix. In a couple of books that have nested quotations, I have seen authors insert a small space between the single quote and the double quote. When I open it in the Calibre editor, it is identified as "THIN SPACE". Chapparel Pro doesn't appear to have that character, and so it throws up a box with an X in it between the quote marks. If I switch to Rakutan Serif, it is displayed properly, so it isn't a Kobo issue. Is there a relatively easy way to fix this? I have FontForge, but very little knowledge of how it works. |
