A Forma 2 with an updated Mobius screen would be really cool! Thing is they wouldn't want to release an actually durable reader. Because of that I handle my Libra 2 really carefully as it doesn't have a worthy replacement.

I would guess that the new Kindle PW6 also has this Carta 1300 screen.
The Libra has no stylus support.
The Libra 2 has stylus support, but not the Nebo Notebooks.

I have both and tried Kobo and 2 alternate MSP "pens". Sketchpad in Libra 2 works with pen (and buttons erase or do thick), and the pen doesn't work at all on Libra original though a dumb rubber tip alloy stylus "works" on either in a similar fashion to any phone without stylus support. The rubber tip dumb stylus is poor on the Sony PRS-350 and especially on the original Aura HD H2O as those use IR for touch instead of a capacitive layer. That kind of stylus doesn't work at all on a resistive touch screen, though any pointy thing, including an active pen will as enough point pressure can be achieved.

Forma 2:
I can't see there being Mobius version. That was to allow flexing of chassis with larger screens. Simply having a cast alloy backplate with ridges is better. TFT on plastic is likely lower yield and shorter life than TFT on glass, so I won't be buying a folding OLED device either. Some of the earliest eInk demo products (inc a roll up phone) in 2006-2008 used mobius style screens. I think it was an experiment. The Sage is really the Forma "2".

As an aside the likely reason there was never a Kindle Voyage 2, is that the Oasis 1 was the deluxe replacement (also 6″, the 2 & 3 are 7″) and the still good Paperwhite 3 was the cost reduced mass market version of Voyage. The first 300 dpi Basic with frontlight is in essence a cost reduced PW3. The larger Paperwhite (6.8″ ?) is almost an Oasis replacement, but without buttons.

I find the Sage so good, that if there is a rumour of replacement by something inferior I'll buy another. The battery life is fine with front-light, BT & WiFi off. The 32 G bytes will allow 18 K ebooks. It's perfect for novels and proofing them for me. I don't use the notebooks or pen now as that is on my Nxtpaper tablet.

Same.

They did, by a Colour one, sadly.

Even if this did mean a Libra BW was on the way, when could we expect to see it? Has anybody noticed a new FCC filing that might mean a Libra BW is in the pipeline?

I'm running on the theory that most of those who want 7" B&W readers already have 7" B&W readers. So we will probably see a B&W follow up to the Libre 2 once demand picks up again. I really cannot see the current situation being permanent given the current state of colour displays.

I would hope so. If something was to happen to my Libra 2, I have no idea what I would get because there is no Kobo I want without a BW 7".
